David Greene, Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Rabat, has expressed his determination to resume US-Morocco deeply rooted bilateral relations under the command and leadership of HM, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI

David Greene, Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Rabat, has expressed his determination to resume US-Morocco deeply rooted bilateral relations under the command and leadership of HM, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI.

He further added that “based on the latest historic developments,” he aims at “strengthening US-Morocco strategic partnership” referring to US-Morocco rapid advanced relations following the historic recognition of the Moroccan Sahara the US administration has issued.

Diplomat David Greene, who assumed responsibilities at US Embassy in Rabat as Charge d’Affaires following David Fischer’s end of term, reaffirmed that he has been working for more than 10 years in the strengthening and development of US-Morocco ties.

He further expressed how the US deeply values HM, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI’s visionary leadership in issues of common interest such as peace in the Middle East, stability, security, and development all over the region and in Africa.

David Greene had worked as Charge d’Affaires at the US Mission to Morocco on August 5, 2019 until January 21, 2020. He was also previously Director of the Office of Egyptian Affairs. In the course of his 23 years with the State Department he has served overseas as Deputy Political Counselor in Islamabad, Pakistan; Political Counselor in Rabat, Morocco.

Greene holds a Bachelor in Government from Harvard University, a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a Masters in National Security Strategy from the National War College, where he was a distinguished graduate. He speaks Arabic and French. He is married and has two daughters.
