There are multiple things young students need to consider prior to be engaged for higher studies, one of the best pieces of advice I would offer is to look at the market requirements and for this, I have thought of writing a small article dedicated to Moroccan students. Let us look at job offers published everywhere. Let us ask our friends and family members. Let us leverage social media properly.
While looking at job offers, students will realize what their interests are and what they need to develop in order to achieve their career goal. Main rule we keep advising folks to do is to empower their level of linguistic skills in French and in English, please note, I m not saying put Arabic aside no, but I m stressing the fact of learning tools of science. Language is a tool isn’t it?
Currently, if we look at the market and at the same time if we ask young students about jobs they know, I m sure the replies will be surprising. The answers, we will usually see are reduced to traditional jobs such as: Engineers, Architects Doctors, Teachers, Lawyers, Technicians, Mason builders, Mechanics, Accountants … That is not sufficient and usually the offers for the public sector are limited.
Whereas, we rarely think of High Technology which is evolving quickly. We are neglecting the world of Business too which is growing in parallel with the market and Tech.
Therefore, young students need to consider the following fields and jobs,

Finance and Audit
E-Commerce
Merchandising operations
Marketing Strategy
Communication
Sales world
Sales Operations and Services
Logistics
Technical Sales
Humain Resources
Management
Information Technology
Information System
Data Science
Big Data
Artificial Intelligence
Business Intelligence
CRM
Internet of Things
Business Process Reengineering
Programming
Program Management
Project Management
With this in mind, students should be clever in choosing what fields they should follow and get it documented in a sort of action plan with timelines to seriously achieving it.
Once on studies, it is always recommended to do internships and continuous trainings all through the career path even after graduation. I would say stress the Continuous Improvement Process after graduation and after being hired.
