Morocco Soon To Reopen Air Travel

Recent reports have stated that Moroccan authorities are preparing to reopen Moroccan airspace and re-implement air traffic within the next few days; a number of flights have been scheduled starting from mid-May.

The same source indicated that new flights have been scheduled by the Royal Air Maroc (RAM), after weeks of suspending flights to France and Spain with the aim of stopping the spread of the new Covid-19 strain. Other prohibited destinations include: Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

It is worth noting that a program was set into place to gradually reopen airspace, as RAM planes are expected to rejoin skies. Meanwhile, it remains unknown whether the Indian double mutant Covid-19 variant will have an impact on air traffic.
