Royal Diplomacy: American recognition perplexing enemies and Moroccan national unity in the service of human relationships

A course of construction and accumulation that marked King Mohammed VI’s marshaling of the Kingdom’s diplomatic files. During seditious periods in which Morocco encountered maneuvers aimed at its territorial sovereignty and great interests, royal diplomacy had drawn a mature seat for Morocco and had taken an unprecedented recognition by the United States of America of Morocco’s full sovereignty over Moroccan Sahara.
It did not occur out of nowhere, nor was it as “barter” as some made it out to be. Whatever the “temptation,” neither the Sahara question nor the Palestine question could be jeopardized. However, the story goes on to say that Moroccan diplomacy, with royal guidance and the active and strong presence of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, was able to motivate the US that the only way to settle the conflict was to respect Moroccan sovereignty.
And so, it was. The United States, which is described as a “penholder” in the Moroccan Sahara file, when it comes to the reports of the United Nations Security Council, has clearly and publicly recognized Morocco’s sovereignty over Sahara, leaving its eastern neighbor in a rave.
Moroccan diplomacy, under the guidance of his majesty King Mohammed VI, defined this dynamic, which encompassed various aspects of relations with friendly and fraternal countries. Morocco’s role in the Corona pandemic has been clearly defined by its dedication to solidarity and synergy with nations that have endured deteriorating epidemic conditions.
This realistic and practical initiative, which allows for the sharing of experiences and good practices to resolve the health, economic and social impacts of the pandemic, was reflected in His Majesty’s decision in June 2020 to send medical assistance to several African countries to support their efforts to combat COVID-19.
This assistance consists of approximately eight million masks, 900,000 protective masks, 600,000 head coverings, 60,000 medical vests, 30,000 liters of alcohol sanitizers, as well as 75 chloroquine, 15,000 bottles of azithromycin, products and protective equipment manufactured in Morocco by Moroccan companies, and is in accordance with World Health Organization guidelines. This step, which has received widespread fame, represents the strength of Morocco’s ties with other African countries, as well as the Kingdom’s determination to keep up with and support these friendly countries, especially during difficult times.
This momentum of solidarity proceeded with His Majesty’s decision in August 2020 to send urgent medical and humanitarian aid to Lebanon in the crisis of a massive explosion in the capital Beirut, which killed a large number of people and caused significant material losses. Morocco has also moved quickly to provide two tons of medical aid to the Republic of Tunisia in order to help it overcome its health crisis, as well as to set up a field hospital on royal order.
Big headlines, and in detail it illustrates the royal vision of a developing Morocco day by day, taking his place within powerful nations club, unconcerned about hateful campaigns targeting the country in an unstable regional setting.
