King Mohammed VI mandates Akhannouch to form a new government

According to the Royal Ministry of Palaces, Honours، His Majesty King Mohammed VI welcomed Aziz Akhannouch, Chairman of the National Rally of Independence, at the Royal Palace of Fez.

King Mohammed VI named Aziz Akhannouch head of government and tasked him with the formation of the new government.
With this nomination, King Mohammed VI has implemented the constitutional clause that allows the head of government to be appointed by the party that presided over the elections, removing the possibility of another figure being appointed.
