Irish automotive parts firm relocated to Morocco from Ukraine

According to the Moroccan television website SNRTnews, an Irish manufacturer that specializes in electrical parts and automobile cables has chosen to halt operations in Ukraine and migrate to other countries, including Morocco.

Aptiv, located in Dublin, will transfer production to Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Morocco, according to the station.
“The process of moving production outside Ukraine will take more than six weeks,” it added.

Car sales have been halted in Ukraine since the start of the Russian attack on the country, and major manufacturers employing tens of thousands of people have closed.

Russia launched a military campaign in Ukraine on February 24, prompting worldwide condemnation and the introduction of strong economic and financial sanctions against Moscow.
