Bahrain’s FM appreciates His Majesty’s outstanding contribution to defending and preserving the identity of Al-Quds Al-Sharif

Mr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, for his remarkable role in safeguarding Al-Quds Al-Sharif, keeping his identity, and supporting the perseverance of the Jerusalemites.

Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, released a joint statement following his talks with his Bahraini colleague on Tuesday in Marrakech, stating that the two ministers had highlighted the relevance of the Palestinian issue to the Arab nation.

According to the same source, the Ministers emphasized the importance of this issue in the two countries’ foreign policies, citing His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his brother King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s “legitimate right to establish an independent State on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital resolution,” in accordance with the internationally agreed two-State solution and relevant international resolutions.

The Ministers also discussed the political and security situation in the Arab world, emphasizing the necessity of united Arab action in developing Arab states’ capabilities, ensuring their security and stability, and ensuring their nations’ long-term development. They acknowledged their delight at reaching an agreement on the myriad difficulties and challenges confronting the Middle East.
