French Ambassador Hélène Le Gal leaves Morocco

Hélène Le Gal, the French ambassador to Morocco, gave notice of her departure from the kingdom on Thursday.

Former Parisian ambassador to Rabat, Hélène Le Gal. The French diplomat, who served as the head of the tricolor mission in the country for three years, announced her departure from Morocco in a tweet on September 29.

Sources claim that the former French ambassador would go to Brussels to serve as director of the European External Action Service’s North Africa and Middle East division (EEAS). The Minister Counselor of the Embassy, Arnaud Pescheux, will serve as Chargé d’Affaires until the nomination of his replacement.
