Mr. Nasser Bourita Holds bilateral talks with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia

On November 15, 2022, in Rabat, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Mrs. Urška Klakočar Zupancič was welcomed by Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad.

At the closing of this bilateral meeting, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia emphasized the positive contribution made by Morocco at the continental level.

Ms. Zupančič expressed her appreciation for Morocco’s efforts “to build a better world not only in its territory but also in a larger perspective” in a statement released to the press.

She also emphasized Morocco’s current growth trajectory and her nation’s willingness to deepen its collaboration with the Kingdom.

She added, “We really aspire to cooperate with Morocco to share our knowledge. Our talks with Mr. Bourita focused on strengthening cooperation relations between Slovenia and Morocco. We appreciate and recognize the development that Morocco has achieved through its energy strategies and policies, including solar systems.

In this respect, she stated that the Parliaments of the two nations will start conversations and step-up exchanges in addition to visits to promote bilateral cooperation in the areas of the economy, society, and tourism.

In this regard, the Slovenian official praised the Kingdom’s advantages as a popular travel destination for Slovenians. Speaking with both the Speaker of the House of Councillors, Enaam Mayara, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, Ms. Urška Klakočar Zupancič emphasized that her visit “is meant to be the beginning of a great relationship between the Moroccan and Slovenian peoples.”
