AL BORAQ: ONCF celebrates the fourth anniversary of the opening of the TGV

The National office of railways (ONCF) is celebrating the fourth anniversary of the launch of Al Boraq, the Moroccan high speed train. On this occasion, ONCF announces that during 2022, the Moroccan high-speed train has carried 4 million passengers between Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier. A remarkable performance.

“Since its launch in 2018 by King Mohammed VI, Al Boraq has transported in four years since it began operating, a total of 10.5 million passengers,” stated Nacera Bechari, Director of the Marketing Department at ONCF, during a ceremony to celebrate this fourth anniversary, yesterday, the 17th of november, 2022, at the Rabat-Agdal station.

In 2022, the Moroccan LGV carried a total of 4 million passengers between Casablanca, Rabat and Tangiers.

Activities were organized in favor of children during this celebration in the main station of the capital, to illustrate the important contribution of railway transport in the socio-economic life of the country.

Additionally, Nacera Bechari stated that the ONCF had made the decision to give away 400 train tickets good for a whole year to the first 400 children whose parents enrolled them on a specific list at the country’s busiest stations in honor of this event.
