King congratulates National team by phone on their historic qualification to the World Cup quarterfinals

The King Mohammed VI, may God bless Him, congratulated the members of the national team for their performance and their historic qualification to the quarterfinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar at the conclusion of the match that pitted the national soccer team against its Spanish counterpart today.

The Sovereign spoke on the phone with Walid Regragui, the national team’s coach, and Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. He offered his sincere congratulations to the athletes as well as the coaching and administrative teams for their outstanding performance during this important sporting event.

HM the King praised the members of the national team for their historic performance, saying they lived up to the hopes and expectations of the large and brave Moroccan public that cheers them on in Morocco, Qatar, and around the world. He urged them to continue playing in this competition, to uphold the national sport, and to fly high the flag of the Kingdom.
