Morocco is in the top 5 most popular destinations for French tourists

Morocco is in the top 5 of the most booked destinations in February 2023 by the French, according to the Orchestra barometer carried out for the tourism news website “L’Echo Touristique”.

According to the barometer ranking of the best-selling destinations of February 2023, published on Thursday, Morocco, with strong growth of +93%, occupies 5th place in the top 20 destinations preferred by the French.

Greece (+37%) comes first in this ranking, followed by Spain (-7%), metropolitan France (+2%), and Tunisia (+98%).

Egypt (+51%) is in 6th place. Italy (+26%), Mauritius (+29%), Portugal (+20%), the Dominican Republic (-56%), the United States (-1%), Mexico (-25%), Tanzania (+4%), Canada (+198%) and Thailand (+547%) follow. The United Arab Emirates (-43%), Croatia (+60%), Jordan (+239%), Guadeloupe (+39%), and Indonesia (+1727%) close the top 20.

The barometer carried out by the leisure platform Orchestra for L’Echo Touristique corresponds to the sales of tour operators made in French offline and online agencies. The data is compared to that of 2022, the new reference year for the tourism industry.
