The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates released a statement on Monday stating that in light of the recent events in the Republic of Sudan and the worsening security situation in this friendly nation, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify Him, has given His High Instructions to ensure the repatriation of Moroccan nationals from this nation.

The ministry continued, “According to the High Royal Instructions, the services of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sudan organized a land caravan from the capital Khartoum to the city of Port-Sudan, which benefited more than 200 Moroccan nationals established in Sudan or whose presence in this country coincided with this challenging domestic situation,” adding that the land caravan arrived this Monday evening safely in Port-Sudan.

The same source said that HM the King, may God preserve Him, has also granted His High Instructions for the organization of an airlift in collaboration with Royal Air Maroc to ensure the best possible conditions for the homecoming of Moroccan people and their families.
