Morocco-Serbia: Bilateral Cooperation in Trade and Tourism

Progress in bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Serbia in the field of Trade and Tourism.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed Amin Belhaj and  Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Matić, discussed during yesterday’s meeting the possibilities of developing bilateral cooperations between the two countries in the field of trade and tourism.

They parties agreed that it is important to continue the session of the Intergovernmental Commission, strengthening the legal framework agreed on in Rabat in March 2019, activating the Joint Moroccan-Serbian Trade and Investment Committee and the Working Group on Tourism, and continuing talks on the Agreement on free trade between Morocco and Serbia.

On this occasion, Minister Matić pointed out that one of the priorities is the recovery of the tourism sector and expressed her readiness for cooperation with Morocco in this area.

She also announced the possibility of connecting Serbia with the African market with a joint appearance with the Kingdom of Morocco.

Ambassador Belhaj reminded that Moroccan investments are present in 30 African countries, in industry, telecommunications, banking and insurance, noting that there is also room for cooperation in those areas, especially in the field of agricultural production.
