Morocco – Serbia: International Cooperation for Sustainable Development

An online conference on "Interregional Cooperation for Sustainable Development" was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina, Serbia with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina, Boško Vučurević, pointed out that the Chamber has held a series of online conferences since the beginning of the pandemic in order to maintain interregional contacts with colleagues from the industry chambers and business owners.

Vucurevic expressed that although the visits to Morocco where cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic, they continue to work online until the epidemiological situation changes. In that case, they expect a delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco to visit the city of Novi Sad, second largest city in Serbia, next year.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco Mohamed Amine Belhaj pointed out that the Agency for Agricultural Development of Morocco (ADA) will participate in this year’s online International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, which will be held from 14 to 18 December.

An online conference between the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and the Chamber of Commerce of Casablanca was also proposed to take place in order to encourage businessmen to extend their cooperation. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Casablanca participated in the Regional Business Forum (RBF) organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina in an online setting on November 10 which focused on three main sectors: Agriculture & Food; the Construction Industry; ICT and Creative industries.
