Bahrain opens Consulate in South Morocco

Bahrain decided to open a new consulate general in the city of Laayoune, south Morocco,

His Majesty, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI received a phone call this Thursday from Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.

This call falls within the framework of the Sovereigns’ mutual sincerity and appreciation uniting their Majesties and the two Royal Families as reflected through the consistent coordination between the two leaders, as well as the fruitful cooperation and continuous solidarity bringing the countries together.

On this occasion, King Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa informed His Majesty; Mohammed VI of Bahrain’s decision to establish a Consulate General in the Moroccan city of Laâyoune; a decision which will be the subject of coordination between the ministries of Foreign affairs of the two countries.

During this appeal, King Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa welcomed the decisions ordered by HM King Mohammed VI in the region of Guerguarat in the Moroccan Sahara which reflects a decisive and effective intervention to preserve peace and stability in this part of Moroccan territory, and to guarantee a normal and secure flow of people’s daily lives and exchange of goods between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

HM King Mohammed VI expressed to Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa his warm thanks for this major decision which reflects the solid union between the two brotherly countries, as well as his majesty’s extreme appreciation for the strong decisions made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting the territorial integrity and national unity of the Kingdom of Morocco.
