The Opening of Eswatini Consulate General in Laayoune, an act of sovereignty and solidarity for Morocco.

The Minister affirmed during a joint press briefing with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita that by taking the sovereign decision to open a consulate in the Moroccan Sahara, it’s a reaffirmation in a political, diplomatic and legal manner of their support for Morocco’s position on this issue.

 

Mrs. Thulisile described her visit to Laayoune as a major turning point in reinforcing the bilateral ties between the two kingdoms. She also underlined that her visit aims to reiterate the constant position of her country regarding the Moroccanity of the Sahara. She also noted that the inauguration of the consulate will strengthen the historic and solid relations lining the two Kingdoms under the vision and guidelines of the two heads of state, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Mswati III.

 

Mrs. Thulisile pointed out that this fraternal coalition is to boost bilateral socio-political and economic cooperation and to constantly defend the cultures and values of the two African States. 

 

This inauguration, she added, is an opportunity in strengthening the existing cordial relations between the heads of state, governments and peoples of the two friendly countries.
