Former US Ambassador To Morocco Receives A Prestigious Royal Decoration

The Order of Ouissam Alaouite is a military decoration which is bestowed by His Majesty the King upon civilians and military officers who have displayed heroism in combat or have contributed meritorious service to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The former Ambassador of the United States to Morocco, David Fischer, received in Washington, the Order of Ouissam Alaouite – Commander, bestowed upon him by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The Kingdom’s Ambassador to the United States, H.H Princess Lalla Joumala Alaoui, handed this royal decoration to Fischer, during a ceremony held Saturday, at the residence of the Moroccan Embassy in Washington.

The former US Ambassador received the Order of Ouissam Alaouite in recognition of his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and friendship ties between the two countries.

During this ceremony, which was attended by a number of dignitaries, Fischer expressed his deep gratitude to King Mohammed VI who honored him with this prestigious royal decoration.
