Yesterday, March 2nd, the Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office (AA) called Moroccan Ambassador to Berlin, Zouhour Alaoui, to hold an urgent discussion and provide explanation as to what happened, following Moroccan’s decision to suspend all forms of communication with the German embassy in Rabat, along with its cooperation bodies and political institutions.

The German Federal Foreign Office broke its silence regarding this decision as the Republic made a statement for the German DW News.

The channel’s website quoted the German Foreign Ministry’s keenness to keep relations with Morocco, describing them as “good.” In the statement, the ministry said, “The German government does not see any reason hindering good diplomatic relations with Morocco.”
