Ghali Appears Before Spanish Judiciary, A Second Hearing To Start Shortly

Amid a major diplomatic escalation between Spain and Morocco, and hours after “bickering” and mutual accusations, the leader of the “Polisario” front appeared for the first time before a judge of the Spanish National Court.

Media outlets reported that the first hearing session, which took place remotely, has ended, and preparations are underway for a second session, which is expected to start shortly.

Sources indicated that Ghali pledged to accept any summons to the Spanish judiciary, and to maintain contact with them.

Despite this, there are fears that Ghali will be in impunity, even though his appearance before the court is in fact the beginning of the recognition of victims’ rights.
