His Majesty King Mohammed VI Congratulates New Israeli PM

His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory letter to Naftali Bennett, on the occasion of his election as Prime Minister of the State of Israel, succeeding Benjamin Netanyahu, whose presidential term witnessed the restoration of bilateral relations.

His Majesty says in his telegram, “I am pleased, on the occasion of your election as Prime Minister of the State of Israel, to express to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations and best wishes for success in your lofty tasks.”

“I take this occasion to assure you of the keenness of the Kingdom of Morocco to continue its active role and its benevolent endeavors aimed at serving a just and lasting peace in the Middle East that guarantees all the peoples of the region to live side by side, in security, stability and harmony”, adds the King.

It should be noted that, on Sunday June 13th, the Israeli parliament granted its confidence to the new government coalition headed by right-wing leader, Naftali Bennett, who will succeed Benjamin Netanyahu, after 12 continuous years in office.
