James Cleverly Reaffirms UK’s Position In Support Of An Internationally Agreed-Upon Solution To The Saharan Issue

Today, Friday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita held bilateral talks with the United Kingdom’s Minister for Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly.

The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural fields. The discussions also included issues and matters of interest to regional security, especially the situation in Libya and the Sahel region, as well as the latest developments related to the Middle East, in addition to many international matters and issues.

During this meeting, the two Bourita and Cleverly discussed the latest developments in the fabricated regional conflict over the Sahara, as the British official renewed his country’s position in support of the United Nations’ efforts to reach a political solution to the conflict, praising, in this regard, the serious and credible efforts made by the Kingdom of Morocco to find a settlement this issue.

In the same context, the UK has repeatedly expressed its support for the international efforts led by the United Nations, aimed at reaching an internationally agreed-upon political solution to the dispute over Sahara.
