Libya Supports Morocco’s Intervention

El Guerguarat: A Libyan deputy denounces the “aggressive and reprehensible” acts of the “polisario”

Rabat – The member of the Libyan House of Representatives, Essam El Jehani, condemned, Tuesday in Rabat, the “aggressive” and “reprehensible” acts committed by the militias of  separatist “Polisario” in the buffer zone of Guerguarat in the Moroccan Sahara.

“We Libyans condemn these acts” committed by the “Polisario” militias, El Jehani told MAP (M24) television channel, adding that Morocco is capable of facing up to these acts.

In this regard, the Libyan MP praised the operation carried out last Friday by the Royal Armed Forces to secure the flow of goods and people through the Guerguarat crossing linking Morocco to Mauritania.

This operation, he added, made it possible to drive out the “Polisario” militia from this area and put an end to the obstruction of civil and commercial traffic at the Guerguarat crossing, noting that the Libyans stand “alongside the Moroccan brothers” on this issue.
