Moroccan Jews in Toronto Mobilized behind HM the King

Toronto: the Moroccan Jewish community is proud of the role of HM the King in favor of peace in the Middle East

Montreal – The Moroccan Jewish Community of Toronto (CJMT), Canada, has expressed its pride in the role HM King Mohammed VI is playing in promoting peace in the Middle East.

“We members of the CJMT, faithful and attached to our Sovereign, are proud of His Majesty the King’s relentless and pioneering role in the search for a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians,” CJMT President Simon Keslassy to MAP.

The Moroccan Jewish community in Toronto welcomes the decision taken by the Sovereign to resume contacts and reactivate the channels of communication between Morocco and Israel.

The Kingdom has always been a country of tolerance, coexistence and peace, continued Keslassy, ​​stressing that the visit to Morocco on Tuesday by a high-level American-Israeli delegation, should allow to incorporate the Morocco-Israel reconciliation.

Keslassy further added that the agreements signed on the occasion of this visit paves the way to fruitful exchanges and a mutually beneficial partnership.

Referring to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, the president of the CJMT assured that “we Moroccan Jews in Toronto will always be mobilized behind HM the King, may God assist him, for the completion and defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom”.

The visit to Morocco on Tuesday of a high-level American-Israeli delegation was endorsed by a Joint Declaration which emphasized the start of a new era in relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Israel.

During this visit, agreements in several areas were concluded by the Kingdom of Morocco with the United States and the State of Israel.
