Moroccan Sahara: Bulgarian Expert hails Visionary Role of HM the King

The United States’ recognition of Morocco’s full sovereignty over its Sahara reflects the leadership and visionary role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, affirmed the Bulgarian expert in international relations Maxim Behar.

The American decision reflects the importance of the leadership and the role of HM the King, hailed at the international level, underlined the Bulgarian expert in a statement to the MAP.

He further noted that the foreign policy of the United States, a world power, has aimed for decades at establishing peace in the Middle East and North Africa, expressing the wish that the US recognition of the Moroccan character of the Sahara will mark a turning point for a new vision of the region for other countries regarding the treatment of this issue, like the United States.

For the Bulgarian expert, diplomacy is the only way to resolve conflicts in the world and promote peace, security and economic integration.

Regarding the resumption of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, Mehar praised the role of the Sovereign in the service of peace and stability in the region.

While highlighting the importance of this decision of rapprochement and its future prospects, he stressed that the United States, Morocco and Israel are fully aware of the major role of diplomacy in the promotion of peace and understanding.

In this context, he highlighted the peaceful coexistence between Moroccans of Jewish faith and their compatriots of Muslim faith, noting that about a million Jews of Moroccan origin currently live in Israel and have remained strongly attached to the customs and traditions of Morocco.
