Moroccan Sahara: US Stand is Sound and Clear

US Department Spokesperson, Ned Price, affirmed today, Monday, February 22nd, that there is no change concerning the US recognition of the Moroccan Sahara


US Department Spokesperson, Ned Price, affirmed today, Monday, February 22, that there is no change concerning the US recognition of the Moroccan Sahara within the new Biden’s Administration as he further added that the US supports UN efforts in promoting peace and stability in the area.



Ned Price further added during the press conference that “We will continue to support the UN process to implement a just and lasting solution to this long-standing dispute. We will also support the work of the mission of the UN for the referendum in Western Sahara to monitor the ceasefire and prevent violence in the area”

Concerning Morocco’s resuming relations with Israel, Ned Price, “We welcome the new step Morocco is taking to improve relations with Israel and that these relations will have long term benefits for both countries.”
