Rabat: Nasser Bourita Receives Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs

This Thursday, February 18th, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, received in Rabat his Gambian counterpart Mamadou Tangara, who carried a letter from Gambian President Adama Barrow to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

During a press release following the meeting, the Gambian minister stated that the President of Gambia extended an invitation to HM King Mohammed VI to visit Gambia, pointing out his country’s position on the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

Barrow also stressed that Gambia supports Morocco in the Moroccan Sahara matter, and noted that his country was one of the first countries to open a consulate general in Dakhla.

Morocco and Gambia have strong and historic bilateral relations under auspices of leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the President of Gambia, Adama Barrow, recalling that the joint committee will soon convene in Banjul, where a set of agreements will be signed in a variety of domains.
