The Moroccan Jewish community in Mexico praises HM The King Mohamed VI and shows tremendous support for Morocco.

The people of Morocco and the Jewish people have had a warm relationship in the modern period. Everybody knows the tremendous friendship shown by the kings and the people of Morocco to the Jewish community there.

“The people of Morocco and the Jewish people have had a warm relationship in the modern period. Everybody knows the tremendous friendship shown by the kings and the people of Morocco to the Jewish community there.

Hundreds of thousands of these Moroccan Jews came to Israel, and they formed a human bridge between our two countries of sympathy, respect, of fondness and love, and I think this is the foundation that we can now build this peace between Morocco and Israel.” Only less than a week ago, President Netanyahu made this statement clarifying the significance of the Jewish community to both Morocco and Israel.

Now, this significance is apparent all over the world. The Moroccan Jewish community is coming out of all places to commend Morocco’s decision in resuming official contact with Israel. Not only that, but the community is also saluting and celebrating President Trump’s decision to recognize the Moroccan Sahara and the US plan to open a consulate in the city of Dakhla, calling it “an important development” that would enable the devotion of “the Moroccan character of the Sahara at the international level.”

“We, Moroccan Jews, have Morocco in our blood. We are all faithful and loyal to HM King Mohammed VI and remain viscerally attached to our country of origin,” Rabbi Mesoud Asher Zrihen had stated earlier. The Rabbi took pride along with the whole Moroccan Jewish community at the Moroccan Embassy in Mexico City in the latest achievements made by the kingdom, praised HM King Mohammed VI for such breakthroughs, and clarified how happy the Community is with the resumption of Israel and Morocco’s official ties, further calling the Jewish community’s relation with Morocco as “unique and special.”

The Moroccan Jewish community’s pride of these breakthroughs stems from their results, since they can clearly see that the Kingdom’s achievements are a huge step into spreading peace, tolerance, and stability.
It’s important to note that the Jewish community in Mexico was among the first communities that expressed their support and solidarity with Morocco after its peaceful operation in Guerguerat on the 13th November, near the Mauritanian-Moroccan border, which aimed to “restore peace and the cross-border flow of goods and people after Polisario militas caused an illegal blockade in the region.”
