Casablanca – After a week of heavy rainfall all over the country, Casablanca’s infrastructure has been put through a lot of tests, to which it has failed miserably.

On Friday morning, some inhabitants, scared of the conditions of their apartment building, immediately evacuated while others stayed inside, it was only moments after that the whole building collapsed in no more than 10 seconds.

The collapse led to 1 person’s death and injury of a few others, while the other families were stuck under the rubble as Civil Protection agents worked tirelessly to rescue them.

As the nearby buildings were evacuated, a 2nd and 3rd buildings who are next to the first one also collapsed at sunset, but luckily they were already evacuated.

The heavy rainfalls that hit Casablanca, the country’s biggest city and its main business center, severely paralyzed the roads and made them unusable. The floods also caused hundreds of cars to either drown or malfunction, which angered a lot of citizens demanding the city to pay for their damages.
