Community Of Sahel-Saharan States Welcomes The Launch Of Morocco – Nigeria Gas Pipeline Project

The Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) welcomed the statement by the Director General of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Usuf Osman, announcing the launch of the gas pipeline project that will link Nigeria and Morocco.

The Community explained, in a statement, that this major project, in which two member countries have been involved, and which will inevitably benefit many other countries in the region, is fully in line with the vision of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and will contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals aimed at increasing the supply of gas and electricity in Africa.

Also in this regard, the Community of Sahel-Saharan States expressed its support for the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the ambition they have always expressed in order to promote African integration and the well-being of the populations of their countries as well as all the people of the Sahel-Saharan region.
