The European Union Welcomes Morocco’s Decision To Facilitate The Return Of Unaccompanied Minors In Europe

The European Union welcomed Morocco’s decision regarding the final settlement of the issue of unaccompanied minors in Europe.

“The European Union welcomes Morocco’s decision to facilitate the return of unaccompanied Moroccan minors, who have been fully identified,” an EU spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy told MAP.

In this regard, she stressed that “the European Union and Morocco have maintained, for years, excellent cooperation in the field of migration, which has led to very good results”, expressing her conviction that “this fruitful cooperation can be maintained.”

“Morocco is an important partner for the European Union and one of our closest neighbours”, the spokeswoman added, noting that Brussels will continue its “close cooperation with Rabat in order to meet our common challenges and advance our bilateral partnership in favor of our common interest.”
