According to Saudi state news agency SPA, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi visited Saudi Arabia on Sunday in search of financial assistance to help Egypt’s struggling economy and ease the pressure on its currency.

Although Saudi Arabia has historically provided Egypt with economic support, it has recently stated that it will only do so under specific circumstances, leading to rumors of an unexpected conflict between the two countries.
