The vice-president of the Italian Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, stated in Rome on Wednesday that Morocco and Italy are committed to cooperating for a more stable Mediterranean area.

The head of Italian diplomacy told the press after his meeting with Nasser Bourita, the minister of foreign affairs, African cooperation, and Moroccan expatriates, that “the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Italy, linked by good relations, wish to strengthen their cooperation for a more stable Mediterranean.”

Tajani emphasized that the action plan for the multifaceted strategic partnership that was agreed today should improve bilateral collaboration in a number of priority areas.

At the invitation of his Italian counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates traveled to Italy on Wednesday, July 5.

Since Tajani’s appointment as the Italian Republic’s Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in October 2022, this is Bourita’s first trip to Italy.
