We urge the current administration to use wisdom and refrain from interfering in other nations’ domestic problems; it is crucial to respect national sovereignty, said Añez , a member of the Creemos opposition group headed by the detained Luis Fernando Camacho.

She denounced the acts of the former president of Bolivia, Evo Marales, in this context since he “does not stop, in her opinion, meddling in the internal affairs of neighboring Peru, which damages the relations between both countries and peoples.”

In 2020, former president Jeanine Añez decided to suspend recognition of a nonexistent nation and “break all ties with this fictitious entity.” Congresswoman Añez stated that the coalition to which she belonged had supported this move.

The former president’s position was extremely valuable since she chose to keep Bolivia’s ties with a nation the size of the Kingdom of Morocco and fought to have the separatist organization that stirs up turmoil in Bolivia and the surrounding area expelled.

There is no question that we need to try to improve our ties with the Kingdom of Morocco since they are crucial and an integral component of the framework for upholding the decisions backed by the international community, according to Añez.

Morocco and Colombia’s already strong ties were bolstered by the signing of a number of bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding.

Furthermore, Farida Loudaya, the Moroccan ambassador to Colombia met yesterday César Ortiz Zorro, a Colombian congressman and parliamentarian, and Eduardo Chiliquinga Mazón, the secretary general of the Andean Parliament.
