As a matter of fact, Schenker encouraged involved parties to seriously examine Morocco’s Autonomy plan as the only credible and realistic basis for negotiations that has emerged over the last 30 years.

Thus, Schenker’s approach goes hand in hand with FM Bourita’s proposal which is to move from recognition to implementation.

Schenker further added that three decades of status quo haven’t produced any breakthroughs. Therefore, he invited the participating countries to seize the moment and reinvigorate negotiations within the framework of Morocco’s Autonomy Plan and alongside the United Nations to find a peaceful resolution for the benefit of all parties.

He further added that His Majesty, King of Morocco, Mohammed VI has taken far reaching socioeconomical reforms and that these committed social and economic reforms have put Morocco firmly on the right path.

He further explained that he King’s vision is expensive and regional and that just last month the US official recognition of Moroccan Sahara and Morocco’s normalization of ties with Israel are two of the consequential provenances of two centuries of friendship between the United States and Morocco.

He went on explaining that these developments have been possible by His Majesty’s leadership and advancing record as well as His far reaching reform agenda for the past decades and by His Majesty’s valuable support of issues of common interest in the East and Middle East, Africa’s stability and development and foreign and regional security.

Schenker further added that the US is committed to deepening and strengthening the ties with the people of Morocco through creating relationships and cultural exchange and through government to government relations.
