Ecuador will depend on Enner Valencia, one of its players, to make the difference.
The Fenerbahçe striker opened the scoring in the 16th minute from the penalty spot after a goal was refused in the opening minutes for being offside.

A first goal that destabilized the Qataris who seemed overwhelmed on the field, conceding a second goal in the first half on a powerful header of the first striker Enner Valencia (31st). A double that allows the South Americans to take an advantage.

At the end of the first half, Qatar presented a threat, but Almoez Ali’s header was just too off to narrow the gap. For the Qataris, the second half was likewise unsatisfactory.

The event will be held in Al Bayt Stadium, which has a capacity of 60,000 and is 40 kilometers north of Doha. The stadium is called after and modelled like the nomadic tents used in the Gulf and is the furthest away but also one of the largest stadiums in downtown Doha. Moreover, it includes a retractable roof.
The show, which promises to be ” spectacular ” will be broadcast on BeIN Sports, as well as the opening match which will also be broadcast on the Moroccan channel Arryadia TV.
The full list of performers for the opening ceremony has not yet been released by FIFA. One of the seven members of the South Korean boy band, Jungkook, will perform a song called “Dreamers” at the event, according to BTS. He will sing a duet with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.
The Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams and Moroccan-born singer Nora Fatehi have also been mentioned as potential performers at the opening ceremony, according to The Telegraph.
Atlanta-based rapper Lil Baby confirmed he would perform at the World Cup on Twitter, but most of the opening ceremony performers will be surprises.
Since the opening ceremony performance usually lasts about 30 minutes, there will likely be others joining in on what promises to be an exciting program.
Several prominent politicians are expected in Doha before the opening ceremony, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmane (MBS).
