<p>&#8220;We highly appreciate the role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in supporting peace and security in the Middle East and North Africa and worldwide,&#8221; Sison said at a press conference following her talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Resident Abroad, Nasser Bourita.</p>

<p>She noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to talk about the significance of human rights as well as Morocco&#8217;s recent election to the UN Human Rights Council.</p>
<p>In order to examine how the UN&#8217;s programs help regional economic growth, the lives of women and youth, and assistance to refugees and irregular migrants, Sison announced an impending meeting with the UN country team. <p>The U.S. official also lauded Morocco&#8217;s contributions to continuing deployments in the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as MONUSCO and MINUSCA, which are among the many UN peacekeeping missions across the world.</p>

<p>Morocco received a score of 1.0524 on the &#8220;Global Fire Power&#8221; index, which was created by an American military-focused organization. The index number rises as it approaches zero.</p>
<p>According to the index, there are 17,634,350 persons who are eligible for military duty, of which 14,989,197 are physically fit. The index also indicated that the defense budget is more than USD 1 billion and USD 39 million.</p>
<p>The report kept track of the nation&#8217;s supply of 250 aircraft to the air force.</p>
<p>Among them are 64 helicopters, two special purpose aircraft, 82 combat aircraft, 30 transport aircraft, 67 training and combat aircraft, and 30 helicopters.</p>
<p>The report stated the nation&#8217;s 121 ships and submarines, including six frigates, and 22 naval patrol in relation to the naval force.</p>
<p>The nation possesses 211 towed artillery pieces, 453 self-propelled artillery pieces, and 31,972 combat armored vehicles for the ground military.</p>
<p>For the MENA region, Egypt topped the list, ranking 14th internationally, followed by Saudi Arabia in the 22nd rank, then Algeria in the 26th rank, Iraq in the 45th rank, and the United Arab Emirates in the 56th rank, followed by Morocco.</p>
<p>At the global level, the United States of America topped the list as the most powerful country militarily, followed by Russia, then China, India and the United Kingdom, South Korea, Pakistan, followed by Japan, France and Italy.</p>
<p>Morocco continues efforts to modernize the Royal Armed Forces and rehabilitate its officers and members, especially after the Kingdom announced the executive’s ambitions to launch a local military industry.</p>
<p>According to Abdellatif Loudiyi, Minister Delegate of National Defense, the Royal Armed Forces permanently deployed 50,000 soldiers to patrol and manage the borders.</p>
<p>In addition to providing for their relocation and training, the national defense department also committed significant financial resources for the process of repairing and maintaining the security system and electronic border control, which calls for a sizeable yearly financial budget.</p>
