Mike Pence, the former Vice President of the United States, is scheduled to arrive in Rabat on Tuesday, March 8 for a three-day visit to Morocco, during which he will meet with senior officials of the Kingdom, according to Morocco Telegraph, which learned this Sunday, March 6, 2022 from an authorized source.

Mike Pence, is regarded as one of the key architects of the tripartite agreement signed in Rabat in December 2020, which marked the beginning of the cementing of the US-Morocco-Israel cooperation.

The United States’ recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Saharan regions, as well as the restoration of Moroccan-Israeli relations, marked the end of this historic pact.

Mike Pence will arrive in Rabat-Salé from Israel on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Before visiting Casablanca and Marrakech, he plans to meet with senior Moroccan officials in Rabat. Mike Pence may possibly meet with Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan foreign minister.

His visit to Morocco coincides with the Moroccan-American economic summit, which will be held in Dakhla, the southern of the Saharan towns, and will bring together business leaders from the two nations to discuss strategies to generate new investments in the Kingdom’s Southern Provinces.
