Morocco Condemns Acts Of Violence In Al Quds

The Kingdom of Morocco follows with great concern the recurrent violent events in al-Quds al-Sharif and al-Aqsa Mosque, and the storming and intimidation of its courtyards for worshipers who are practicing their prayers in peace during the holy month of Ramadan.

Morocco, ruled by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, considers these violations an unacceptable act that will increase tension and notes that unilateral measures are not the solution and calls for the prevalence of dialogue and respect for rights. Moreover, the Kingdom stresses the need to preserve the special status of al-Quds, as well as to protect the city’s Islamic character and the sanctity of the blessed Mosque of al-Aqsa.
