For the 32nd Arab League summit, Arab leaders gathered on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Jeddah Declaration, which calls for Arab unity, the cessation of outside meddling in the area, and the rejection of all forms of separatist, was approved by all summit participants before it was adjourned.

Respect for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all Arab states was also emphasized in the proclamation. It denounced domestic military confrontations, claiming that they only make peoples’ suffering worse and keep them from achieving their goals.

Inherent rights of Arab citizens include sustainable growth, security, stability, and a peaceful existence, according to the Jeddah Declaration. It demanded stepping up efforts to tackle corruption and crime at all levels.

The Jeddah Declaration completely complies with Moroccan diplomatic standards in light of the current climate in the Arab world. Morocco has consistently argued that all members of the League of Arab States must uphold these ideals.

Morocco’s stance on a variety of issues, including its territorial integrity and the Palestinian cause, is confirmed and strengthened by the Jeddah Declaration. The declaration also acknowledges the support provided by the Al-Quds Committee, which is led by King Mohammed VI, for Al-Quds and the Palestinian cause.

Professor of international relations at the University of Mohammed I in Oujda, Dr. Khalid Chiat, gave Hespress a comprehensive study of the Jeddah Declaration. He asserted that the element that “supports the unity of Arab countries and the rejection of all forms that promote separation, fragmentation, and segregation” is extremely important.

According to the professor, the declaration is consistent with the principles that Morocco and the Arab nations uphold and support. The League of Arab States’ ideals are prominent in Morocco and are an expression of hostility toward organizations like the Polisario’s separatist movement that call for the founding of new states.

The Moroccan professor emphasized that the decision to reinstate Syria in the League of Arab States was made in accordance with a “consensus around these values that supports unity and not in support for separatist movements.”

In his additional remarks, Khalid Chiat notes that “the Sovereign, as head of the Al-Quds Committee, reflects the vision that Morocco has on the Palestinian problem, and in particular in Al-Quds Sharif, as well as that of the Arab League.

For the Arab League, the Jeddah Declaration represents a tremendous milestone. It offers a future road map and reinforces the organization’s dedication to its basic ideals. Morocco and everyone who supports Arab unification have won with the announcement.

The Arab leaders struck a devastating blow to Algeria’s military administration, which was attempting to convene an Arab summit, despite the fact that it had become a symbol of Arab disintegration due to hostile attitudes against Morocco’s educational unity.

It was stated yesterday that the next Arab summit in Algiers will be postponed, but no precise date had been specified. The Arab summit will be held in Algiers in March, according to Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune.

Hossam Zaki, the League of Arab States’ Assistant Secretary-General, announced in a news statement that the future Arab summit in Algeria “will not be conducted until the month of Ramadan, which will arrive to the Islamic Ummah early next April,” which means the end of May or June.

“The date of the summit will be revealed during the meeting of the Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which will take place at the Secretariat-headquarters General’s in Cairo on March 9,” Zaki added.
