The Kingdom of Morocco expressed today Sunday, April 25th its disappointment with regard to Spain’s covering up of the leader of separatist militias of the “Polisario”, prosecuted for serious war crimes and violations of human rights in the Spanish territory under a fake passport. An act which is contrary to the spirit of partnership and good neighborliness, and which concerns a fundamental question for the Moroccan people.

Spain’s attitude arouses great incomprehension and legitimate questions:

  • Why was the so-called “Brahim Ghali” admitted to Spain on the sly and with a false passport?
  • Why did Spain find it useful not to notify Morocco?
  • Why did Spain choose to admit him under a false identity?
  • Why hasn’t the Spanish justice reacted yet to the many complaints lodged by the victims?

This is why the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad summoned the Spanish Ambassador so that this position could be communicated to him and to demand necessary explanations from her on the attitude of his Government.
