Yesterday, Thursday, Israeli raids took place in Gaza for the fourth consecutive day, to which the Palestinian factions responded by firing about 300 rockets that targeted areas of southern and northern Israel, at a time when Israel faces violent confrontations inside cities inhabited by Arabs and Israelis, which made the Israeli President, Reuven Rivlin, warns of the outbreak of a civil war inside Israel.

The Israeli confrontations with the Palestinian factions in Gaza and the Arab citizens of Israel have reached their fifth day, as the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Thursday evening that the number of martyrs in the Strip had risen to 109, including 28 children and 11 women, and that the total number of injuries reached 580 with various wounds. On the Israeli side, 7 people were killed, in addition to hundreds of wounded, as a result of Palestinian confrontations.

There are international calls to reduce tension, but there are no indications so far of calm between the Israel and Palestine, which united its ranks and intensified the firing of homemade rockets towards Israeli towns and settlements, which forced Israel to close Ben Gurion Airport and divert incoming flights to Ramon Airport.

The escalation came against the backdrop of attacks by Israeli settlers and Israeli police forces on worshipers in al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the attack on Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah, in al-Quds.

On Thursday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “The last word hasn’t been said yet and this operation will continue as long as needed.” In a video statement, Netanyahu added, “I’ve said we will exact a heavy price from Hamas and we are doing it”

For his part, Ismael Haniyeh, Head of Hamas Political Bureau, announced that the resistance against Israel would not back down, and that this is what they told the mediators, blaming Israel for the explosive situation due to the escalating violence in al-Quds.

In the midst of this Palestinian-Israeli conflict, a number of countries, including Morocco, announced their readiness to invest efforts to resume the negotiation process between Palestine and Israel, expressing their deep concern about the situation in al-Quds and Gaza, and calling on everyone to exercise restraint and not take any steps that would lead to further escalation.
