H.M King Mohammed VI: The protocol rules have changed and our country is capable of managing its affairs

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, delivered a speech to the nation on the 68th anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution today, Friday evening.
Morocco, like several other Arab Maghreb nations, is experiencing purposeful and calculated attack from its traditional partners, who continue to adhere to pre-existing views and outdated concerns, according to the Sovereign.
“All conceivable methods, lawful and illicit,” said King Mohammed VI, “have been recruited to entangle Morocco in issues and disagreements with specific nations through the distribution of roles and the employment of vast means of influence.”
The King went on to say, “There have been certain stories that have passed all boundaries. Instead of advocating for support for Morocco’s attempts to achieve regional balance, they made proposals to block Morocco’s growth, claiming that it will create an imbalance among the Maghreb countries.”
H.M. the King explains that the game has changed and that the Maghreb countries are fully capable of managing their affairs, developing their resources and potentialities in the best interests of its people.
Morocco, on the other hand, aspires to deepen its ties with its neighbors, particularly Spain and France, as it continues on its path to greater growth.
In the same light, King Mohammed VI shared information on his country’s relations with Spain. “Says the King,” “True, these ties have lately been strained by an extraordinary crisis that has shattered mutual confidence and created many concerns about their future. However, we collaborated with the Spanish side with complete calm, transparency, and accountability.”
The royal speech made it clear that “Not only did we want to get out of this crisis, but we also wanted to use it as a chance to revisit the foundations and determinants that govern these relationships. We look forward to continuing to work with the Spanish government and its President, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, to usher in a new and unprecedented phase in our bilateral relations, based on trust, transparency, mutual respect, and the fulfillment of agreements.”
“It is the same commitment, on which partnership and solidarity relations are founded, between Morocco and France, whose President, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, and I have together strong bonds of friendship and mutual admiration,” the King continued.
