HM King Mohammed VI Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation Forces’ Raid on the Al Aqsa Mosque

The Kingdom of Morocco, whose Sovereign HM King Mohammed VI chairs the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Al Quds Committee, has strongly condemned and denounced the Israeli occupation forces’ raid on the Al Aqsa Mosque, the closing of its gates, and the attack on unarmed worshipers in the mosque compound, which resulted in numerous injuries.

“This blatant aggression and systematic provocation against the sanctity of the mosque and its place in the heart of the Islamic Ummah during the holy month of Ramadan will only fuel feelings of hatred and extremism and destroy the chances of reviving the peace process in the region,” the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad said in a statement.

The Kingdom of Morocco has also called on the United Nations and the international community to intervene immediately to stop these crimes and assaults on the defenseless Palestinian people and their fundamental values.

The censure and denunciation were delivered immediately to the head of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat, according to HM King Mohammed VI’s instructions.
