H.M The King Sends a Message of Condolences and Compassion to the Turkish President following the terrorist attack in Istanbul

Following the terrorist attack that hit Taksim Square in downtown Istanbul and killed numerous innocent people, H.M Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and sympathy to Erdoğan, president of the Republic of Turkey.

His Majesty states in a statement that He “was deeply saddened” by this heinous terrorist assault and expresses to President Erdoğan, and through him, to the bereaved families and the Turkish people, His sincere condolences and deepest compassion.

H.M the King prays to Almighty God to comfort Turkey’s president and people, and he wishes the injured a full and speedy recovery.

HM the King reiterates to Mr. Erdoğan the Kingdom of Morocco’s support and full solidarity with the brotherly Turkish people, as well as its condemnation of all kinds of terrorism, a horrible phenomenon that jeopardizes citizens’ security and lives and is completely incompatible with human principles.
