The French Foreign Minister is expected in Rabat on the 15th and 16th of December.

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna will visit Rabat on December 15 and 16, to discuss the delicate issue of visas and prepare a proposed visit by President Macron in January, said the Quai d’Orsay.

“The minister will arrive on the evening of the 15th and will meet with his counterpart Nasser Bourita the following day,” a representative said. “They will discuss all aspects of the bilateral relationship,” she added, mentioning the visa issue in particular.

The goal is to “define ambitious and innovative perspectives for this exceptional relationship,” said Anne-Claire Legendre, a Quai d’Orsay spokeswoman, during a press conference.

“Because France and Morocco are major partners in terms of economy, education, security, and cooperation, all subjects will be addressed during this visit,” she added.
