The City of Peace (Al Quds) and its cultural legacy, which belongs to all of humanity, need to be protected, according to King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, who called for a global alliance of nations that value tolerance and coexistence.
The King emphasized the necessity of this alliance in a speech given at a High Level Conference on the protection and support of Al Quds, emphasizing the need to safeguard the city and preserve its cultural heritage.
He emphasized the special place Al Quds holds in the hearts of Arab and Muslim peoples and the necessity of an international effort to defend the city. The King also discussed the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive branch of the Al-Quds Committee, which has been working for over 25 years to support the city and preserve its cultural identity by carrying out various social and development projects.
The King emphasized the significance of Arab and Islamic countries working together to support Al Quds. He reaffirmed Morocco’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing its concern for the protection of Al Quds as a national issue and a guiding principle of its foreign policy.

The King demanded that the Palestinian issue be justly resolved within the parameters of international law and the Two-State Solution. He emphasized the value of valuing diversity and keeping Al Quds as a representation of harmonious coexistence for all monotheistic religious adherents.
The King added that Morocco would support the Palestinian National Authority and any other international efforts to restart the peace process. The King also urged everyone to work together to defend Al Quds from any violations that aim to change its legal status.
