Morocco strongly condemns Israel’s incursion into Al Aqsa Mosque (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Rabat – The Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemns the incursion of Israeli forces into the Al Aqsa Mosque as well as the aggression against and terror on worshippers in the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates said Wednesday in a statement.

The statement from the Kingdom of Morocco, whose sovereign HM King Mohammed VI serves as chair of the Al Quds Committee, emphasizes the importance of respecting the status of Al Quds and the Holy Places in terms of law, religion, and history, as well as the need to refrain from any actions and infractions that could jeopardize any prospects for regional peace.

The ministry concluded that the Kingdom reiterates its opposition to such actions, which only serve to aggravate the predicament in the occupied Palestinian territories and undercut efforts to defuse tensions and rebuild trust.
