HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa Meets HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco

Monaco – HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, president of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and patron of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (Ocean Decade), met on Wednesday at the Princely Palace of Monaco with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco.

The gathering was a component of HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s participation in the third Foundations Dialogue for the Ocean Decade, which got underway earlier in the day in the principality and at which Her Royal Highness is in charge of a sizable delegation.

In order to improve the sharing of knowledge between the two organizations, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding. The meeting also saw the combination of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection’s “b7arblaplastic” operation and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s “beyond plastic med” operation.

Mohamed Sadiki, the Moroccan minister of agriculture, fisheries, rural development, and water and forestry, as well as Nouzha Alaoui, the secretary general of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, attended the meeting. On the Monegasque side, Olivier Wenden, vice president and managing director of the Albert II of Monaco Foundation, and Bernard Fautrier, the prince of Monaco’s special advisor on the environment, also attended.

The third edition of the Foundations Dialogue for the Ocean Decade’s high-level opening session had HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa participate earlier in the day.
