Niger coup leaders form new govt: decree

An order broadcast aloud on national television on Thursday purported to confirm that the Nigerian military officers who took control in a coup last month have established a new administration.

The 21-member government will be led by Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, while the defense and interior ministries will be run by generals from the new military ruling council.
